At Blackfields Furniture, we love when customers are so happy with our work they come back for more, so when this couple reached out to us for a set of French doors for their property’s balcony after we crafted a custom front door for them for them in December 2024, we were glad to help.
Working from the customer’s reference images, we refined the design to capture the look they envisioned while taking inspiration from the character of the local neighbourhood. The result is a set of doors that feel both personal and perfectly at home in their surroundings.
These French doors and their matching frame were crafted from solid Accoya for durability and finished in a crisp Omnia White, giving them a clean, timeless presence. The horizontal and vertical glazing bars break up the glass beautifully, echoing nearby architectural details and adding character without sacrificing natural light. Above the main doors, openable fanlights offer a practical advantage—allowing fresh air to flow through the house while maintaining security.
As the customer requested, the ironmongery is finished in satin brass. The warm tone of the brass contrasts beautifully with the cool white of the paintwork, bringing an understated elegance to the finished project. With a robust 3-point locking system and discreet flush bolts, these doors combine craftsmanship, style, and security in one thoughtful design.
