The project incorporates a full-height made-to-measure door, glazed overlight and coordinating frame, carefully fitted within the existing architectural opening.
This bespoke entrance door was designed to complement the character and proportions of the existing period property.
The traditional panelled design is finished in a soft blue-grey tone and paired with polished brass hardware, creating a smart but sympathetic addition to the original stone façade.
Traditional moulded detailing and carefully selected ironmongery retain the property’s period character, while the finished installation provides a clean, refined and welcoming entrance.
Josh joined Blackfields Furniture in July 2026 and has a wealth of previous experience in carpentry and floor sanding. Josh is now learning what it takes to become a skilled cabinet maker and work towards producing some excellent projects alongside the Blackfields team.
Dan is a talented cabinet maker and joiner who started with Blackfields through a high school work experience program. Recognising his potential, the team offered him an apprenticeship at 16, and he has since grown into one of the company’s most skilled makers. Dan is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter and enjoys running, music festivals, and socializing with friends. His journey is a true Blackfields success story.
