The new door has been carefully designed around the existing decorative stained-glass features, with the original-style glazed fanlight and adjoining window remaining an important part of the entrance. The result is a characterful new door that complements the surrounding stonework and architectural detailing while retaining the traditional appearance of the property.

Finished in a deep charcoal tone, the traditional four-panel design is paired with warm brass ironmongery, including a door knocker, central knob and letter plate, creating a refined contrast against the darker finish.
Josh joined Blackfields Furniture in July 2026 and has a wealth of previous experience in carpentry and floor sanding. Josh is now learning what it takes to become a skilled cabinet maker and work towards producing some excellent projects alongside the Blackfields team.
Dan is a talented cabinet maker and joiner who started with Blackfields through a high school work experience program. Recognising his potential, the team offered him an apprenticeship at 16, and he has since grown into one of the company’s most skilled makers. Dan is a passionate Liverpool FC supporter and enjoys running, music festivals, and socializing with friends. His journey is a true Blackfields success story.
