Nothing speaks more to the quality of our furniture here at Blackfields than a client coming back for more. After designing their custom kitchen last year, they got in touch again to ask us to help with their bedroom remodel. The room had a deep alcove for their wardrobes, but their current ones were outdated and impractical. They asked us to design something brand new to fit in the space with a more sleek, modern feel whilst maximising on storage capacity.

They sketched out the exact internal layout they wanted for the piece and we got to work designing something that met all their requirements with a deeper than standard design to get the most out of their space. We crafted the piece with beautiful Caledonian oak, and a soft grey spray finish to ensure it was both hardwearing and matched the contemporary style they were looking for. With their input, we also picked out the perfect black hardware for handles and hinges to create a striking contrast.

In order to work with the overall timeline for their bedroom renovation, we had to work on a very tight timescale, with only 15 days between the initial survey and the final installation. Despite this quick turnaround, we never compromised on craftsmanship, and our clients were very happy with the results.

The integrated light switches for the bedside lamps fitted to the headboard were a perfect example of how aesthetics don’t have to be sacrificed for functionality. And because the customer is always at the heart of everything we do, we made sure the hanging rails were custom fitted to suit the client’s reachable height. With only a 4-week project timeline from sign-off to completion, we were proud to produce such a beautiful backbone for this uniquely styled space.
